"THE SUSPENDED SONG",
a forest installation.

FROM ANIMAL TO YOUR TATTOO

This installation is a first.

Working with clay to give form to this idea has been an exploration that promises further developments... I'm already looking forward to continuing it!

The "SUSPENDED SONG" will be installed during BACK TO THE TREES , an artistic event that invites artists into the forest: visual arts, word arts, music and sound arts, performing arts... an annual event in which I am delighted to participate for its 10th edition.

Admission is free, the wood is magnificent, the team is fantastic, and the event brings together around fifty artists to meet or discover.

As they say: come and take art to the forest!

THE SUSPENDED SONG

“Nestled in the trees like an echo, three ceramic installations invite us to consider the fragile richness of our soundscapes.

Created from spectrograms – which translate sound into images – these clay pieces reveal the acoustic signature of three birdsongs.

Three silent, suspended songs, to pay homage to the presence of non-human living beings, but also to bear witness to their gradual disappearance.

As the voices of the wild worlds grow fainter, let us make our own rise for them, before our springs grow silent."

I warmly thank the inspiring Romy Randrianasolo for her support and help in designing these clay pieces in her ceramics studio, within the Hôp Hop Hop collective.
